The St. Herman Conference had hoped to be able to host a limited in person conference with a few lectures and services at St. Vladimir’s Memorial Church in Jackson, New Jersey. Unfortunately we see the beginnings of a possible new surge in the COVID virus and more restrictions in the quarantine status not only in New Jersey but in most neighboring states. These new regulations make it impossible to have a gathering for lectures or social time.
In an effort to maintain the possibility of spiritual encouragement to our youth, Metropolitan Hilarion has blessed the conference to host Divine Services for the feast of St. Herman in our Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City. The services will be dedicated specifically to our St.Herman Conference and will be live streamed over the internet. We are hopeful that many of our youth will avail themselves of this wonderful opportunity to participate in the services. In person services for the feast will be limited to 35 faithful and as required by cathedral regulations and will be on a first come first served basis. The first 35 people to register will be included in the quota.
The Divine Services will be the All-Night Vigil served on December 24th and 4:00 pm. The Divine Liturgy will be on December 25th at 9:30 am. Information concerning the streaming services will be made public in the immediate future on the web page as well as social media.
We also encourage the clergy who are our faithful supporters to attend the divine Services and serve the feast. Clergy should contact the conference director, Fr. Alexis Duncan at fr.alexis.duncan@gmail.com
